There is a non-refundable $25 administrative fee to apply.  Local 4 only accepts bank checks or money orders.  Local 4 also administers a no-fail math assessment at that time.

Pre-Apprenticeship Recruiting Now

If you are interested in a career in construction but not sure what trade you would like to pursue, there are pre‐apprenticeship programs that can help you find the right path.

These programs help women gain skills for successful trade careers!

Building Pathways Boston is currently recruiting for February’s class.

To be eligible for our free pre-apprenticeship training program you must be:

  • at least 18 years old
  • a resident of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, or Middlesex counties
  • have a high school diploma or equivalency
  • unemployed or under-employed
  • authorized to work in the US
  • a licensed driver
  • drug free
